Achiever is finished – but not published?

Yes, I finished Achiever, my latest track, yesterday. But it’s not on Spotify or SoundCloud. What happened?

To get your tracks into stores and streaming services, you need a publisher pushing them for you. In my case, as I’m not signed with a label unfortunatly, I’m publishing them on my own. This means, I’m paying for a service, which uploads my tracks to Spotify, Apple Music and so on.

However, promoting tracks on your own is difficult. They often get below 10 plays. And promotion requires a lot of work.

This time, I’d like to try another way again. These days, when music production got cheap and popular, music labels don’t contact you, you have to contact them and send your demo. If they like it, you have a change to publish your track on their label. That means, they try to help you promoting the track and make money with it. So this pushes your music more then publishing on your own, probaply.

That’s the reason why I’m writing a lot of emails currently. I’m sending my track to many labels, hoping that someone likes my track as much as I do. Let’s see if this is successful.
